2 Days in Hallstatt

After our tour of the salt mines, we hopped on a bus that would take us to a train, which would then take us to the quaint and cozy mountain village of Hallstatt!

When we arrived in Hallstatt, we immediately checked into our hotel across the lake from the village! After nearly a month of travelling and staying in many hostels and shared accommodations, we were over the moon to have a room, with a queen sized bed (and an ensuite bathroom!) completely to ourselves! The view wasn’t too bad either!

After settling into our accommodation, we took a little stroll to grab some dinner. We of course ordered our favourite Bavarian dish, schnitzel, and then it was back to the hotel to bask in the joy of a comfortable bed for a good night’s rest.

The next day, we continued to take it easy by strolling around town, and trying to make the best of some foggy/rainy weather that fell upon us in the afternoon.

The next day, the sun was shining again, so we took another tour around town and were greeted by some beautiful swans gliding along Lake Hallstatt. Just perfect!

Before we knew it, it was time to depart this picturesque little town to catch our shuttle to Prague! Although we don’t have much to verbally report on our time in Hallstatt, this little village was truly the most amazing spot to just relax and recharge. For us, our two days of R&R on Lake Hallstatt were exactly what we needed!
